Wanna know something? One of the coolest things to me, is having friends that I met in high school, who ask me to take their wedding pictures! It’s incredibly humbling to know there are people who are close to me that like my work enough to book me for their very special day.
Stephany and I have been friends for a long time! She ended up falling in love with Brandon [who’s a military man!] and getting married a year ago. Though it was in another state so they didn’t have a reception/ceremony/wedding dress…you know, all the fun stuff with family and friends! So they ended up having a beautiful ceremony/reception here in Florida at the St. Pete Community Center that’s located right on the water. Such a beautiful venue!
Their theme included starfish, sand dollars, sea shells, coral colored flowers and navy blue accents! It was SO pretty. Personally, the cake & cupcakes were my favorite. [But when is food not?? ;)] Not to mention, their wedding happened to be on Father’s day so Stephany put together a special Father/Daughter dance for all the dads and their daughter. I definitely teared up a few times. After the reception was over, I was able to steal this sweet couple away for some fun bridal portraits that included swinging on a swing set, a new & improved version of Romeo & Juliet and dodging beach goers as they danced on the beach.
I’d say their day was extremely special and unique! I don’t normally shoot noon weddings, but this time it worked out so that Jon & I were able to go home after the wedding and celebrate Father’s Day with both of our Dad’s. 🙂 I definitely enjoyed that.
Thank you guys so much for choosing me to capture your wedding!! I hope you guys enjoy the photos!
