Sarah & Josh’s wedding was filled with family, friends, laughter, puppy love, tears of joy, delicious Sonny’s catering, lip balm, dancing, glow sticks and the color pink. Needless to say, their wedding was awesome.
Sarah’s dad, Scott, is one of the pastors at Seminole First Baptist Church [where my parents attend], which is how I met their sweet family. When I started talking to Sarah about the wedding and found out some of the fun details that would be swept up in the day, I immediately got excited to shoot her wedding! Not only did she tell me that her bridesmaids and groomsmen would be wearing pink, but the guys were wearing suspenders! That always makes for fun pictures.
Day of the wedding, Sarah and Josh were both extremely calm, not stressed, and couldn’t wait to see each other! It was refreshing to be around a bride and groom who just let their day flow how it was going to flow without worrying about anything else. The bridal party was hilarious! The guys insisted on doing the “girly ring OMG pose”, and the girls had chalk boards that told how each of them met Sarah.
The details of this wedding were very fun and creative. I personally loved the lip balm idea! In-fact, I’m still using mine every day! When we snuck Sarah and Josh away from the reception to take a few sunset photos, Jon [who helped me out a ton at their wedding] was driving my car and he decided to illegally cross the road through a “wrong way” turn lane to save time. We didn’t get to turn quick enough and had a few cars beeping at us!! I’m pretty sure we all freaked out when a car tried to get in the turn lane while we were facing them head on! Even though we got back safe and laughed about it afterwards, I don’t think we will ever do that again!! Life is never boring! 🙂
Josh & Sarah danced the rest of the night away with their friends and family, then left through a tunnel of glow sticks! It was an absolutely beautiful wedding. Thank you guys so much for giving me the privilege of shooting your wedding! Enjoy the pictures!!
