From the time Tori contacted me, I was so excited I could scream! Her and Lincoln’s wedding would not only be absolutely gorgeous, it would mark the first out-of-state wedding for my business and I hope many more afterwards!
These two had been dating several years before Lincoln decided it was time to get down on one knee and ask Tori to marry him, in their kitchen after she had just gotten off work. He had strung lights and looked dapper, as she came home in her scrubs to see this sweet surprise that only the two of them would share. He had planned on proposing 2 times before but it just didn’t work out in his favor, so I think it was fitting the way he decided to paint that moment for Tori. I really enjoyed listening to them tell their story as we sat in a bus with the bridal party on the way to their ceremony.
I’ll be writing a separate blog post about our adventure as this was our first out-of-state wedding, but for this blog, I just want to share with you about their beautiful day! She picked navy and different shades of pink with some gold details as their colors and the florals were absolutely stunning!! The ceremony location where their shared their first look (cutest thing ever!!) was in New Hampshire, while the location for family formals and bride and groom portraits was actually in Maine!! I hadn’t been in either state before so when the bridal party mentioned, “We’re in Maine now”as we crossed over a bridge, I probably got a little overly excited!! I’ve never shot a wedding that was in TWO states before!! It was literally the coolest thing.
The ceremony took place at Rye Harbor State Park! It was so beautiful and intimate as they read their handwritten vows to each other with the waves crashing behind them. Then later, their reception venue was the 7th Settlement Brewery, which turned out to be extremely awesome! When I thought brewery, I pictured small and dark… NOPE. This place was huge and had plenty of windows and pretty lights! They were even giving tours later that night!
Everyone watched and cheered as Tori and Lincoln shared their first dance as husband and wife and then cut their whoopie pie cake. (which were delicious!) Later when it came time to get out on the dance floor, Lincoln (the groom) surprised everyone by coming out in hot pink pants, ready to bust a move! I was told that when he goes to weddings, he has to wear some outrageous color/style pants! So it was only fitting that his rule apply to his wedding as well. 🙂
Jon and I had an absolute blast with Tori, Lincoln and their friends and family! They were very accommodating and kind to us. We greatly appreciate the trust and the opportunity to do something totally new to us and to be a part of their special day!
Tori and Lincoln, We love you guys!! Hope you enjoy a bunch of pictures that tell the story of your wedding day!
Thank you so much to all the vendors who helped make this day so beautiful!!
