Last year I got the pleasure of taking Shannon & Mike’s engagement pictures, which were some of my absolute favorites!! They brought their sweet pup, Tank for some of the pictures. When they asked me to take their wedding pictures, I was thrilled!! They are a couple that is so filled with joy & happiness, always smiling and completely in love with each other.
I had a great time talking with Shannon about her wedding planning at the same time I was planning my own wedding! It was exciting finding out all the little details of their wedding, such as the quaint venue [Sweet Sage Cafe] for their reception, the hand made wedding favors, what her wedding dress looks like, their wedding colors and her mother and brother walking her down the isle. The type of things that pull a wedding day together.
Though the day turned out AMAZING, it ended up pouring during the [extremely touching/emotional] toasts and on and off the rest of the evening. Luckily, rain didn’t stop Shannon & Mike from wanting to take their bridal portraits. That’s right, we took them in the rain!! They turned out beautiful! Then they walked through a tunnel of sparklers and she tossed her bouquet. Right after, Shannon saw some pink in the sky and asked if we could go back to the beach really quick for a few more photos…I was definitely not going to turn her down! The sky was like a painting! Purples, pinks, blues and oranges…ahhh fantastic. Then they left with huge can’s on the back of the truck!
I hope you all enjoy the photos of their special day! 🙂
Tank’s face in the right picture cracks me up!! 🙂

My sweet man scouting out the next thing to record!
Sneaking some icing from her beachy wedding cake!
This is when it started to pour!!
Her brother even had me in tears.
In this one, you can clearly see the rain! A big thanks to her uncle for holding an umbrella over me during these portraits!
Totally worth it.
