Jessye & Nick are an incredibly sweet couple that I’m so honored to have had the pleasure of working with. I knew Nick’s brother, Dan and sister-in-law, Crystal from high school, which is how we got connected!
Nick joined the Marine Corps two years ago and they got engaged over a year ago. Nick got stationed in Hawaii in 2013, so when she came to visit him, they got legally married. She moved there this past January to live with her husband because who really wants to live so far from their spouse?! So they were finally able to have their formal ceremony and reception with family and friends in October!
Their bridal party was HUGE and awesome. A lot of it was actually made up of their family, which was a really cool aspect of their wedding. It was held at Laurel Wood Gardens, a beautiful venue in Dade City that has rolling hills, a gorgeous swing, and an intimate ceremony site that makes you feel like you’re deep in a magical forest! I loved it! It ended up raining later that night but we worked with it! 🙂
Jon took video of their Ceremony and I had Justine [A fellow photog who is a Senior in high school] second shooting! She had asked if she could shadow me for a day for her photo class at school, of course I was flattered and said definitely! It was so much fun shooting with her! I think the three of us made an awesome team! I hope you all enjoy some of my favorites from their special day!
Jessye is so full of joy!
Girl! You’re so beautiful!!
I love getting to capture these special moments.
She’s one of the happiest brides I’ve had the pleasure of taking photos for! Non-stop smiles!
Pretty sure this was when they were saying “Do you Nicholas, take…” He says “I DO!” before Jessye’s grandpa was even finished! It was hilarious! Way to jump the gun Nick! 🙂
Such a great moment. Eager to marry his pretty bride in front of family and friends.
Not sure if you can see the rain in these pictures, but it was sprinkling and pitch black! This was my first time attempting to back-light! Jon and Justine were a HUGE help!
Excuse the sweatyness, but I really wanted a picture with this sweet bride and groom!! 🙂
