Holly & Steve’s wedding, where to begin? I’ll start out by saying I had never met these two when they contacted me about wedding photos, but I knew of a few people in their bridal party. So, technically they were friends of friends…of friends! They also inquired about video and ended up booking Jon for his FIRST real video gig!! Such a blessing. 🙂
When we finally got to meet up with them a week before their wedding, we chat and ate at a little place right on the beach, called “Bongos”! Let me just say, their burgers were delicious!! During our consultation with them, finding out the last minute details such as: how they would like their video to look, and special family photos they wanted, we realized that we just clicked with them and shooting their wedding would be a breeze.
It always helps when our personalities match up well with the soon to be newlyweds. It’s a more comfortable experience when you feel like you know your photographer, or videographer.
When it was finally the day of their wedding, we took a ton of photos, plenty of video, got a sunburn, laughed, danced, filled our belly’s to the rim, and I even lost my shoes on the beach for half of the day. The things that happen at weddings are always a fun story to tell later. 🙂 Holly & Steve’s wedding was absolutely gorgeous! The ceremony was at the beach on an incredibly clear day! There were glass vases, hanging on purple ribbon, filled with water and floating flowers. The groomsmen wore starfishes with a flower on the side on their jackets and the bridesmaids had bouquets with in array of colors: pink, yellow, orange, and green.
The bride and groom looked stunning as you’ll see in the pictures. Holly’s grandmothers hold it together when they saw her because of how beautiful she looked. It was such a sweet moment! Their reception was at the Grand Plaza Hotel, right under the restaurant on St. Pete Beach called Spinners. [So almost the very tip top of the building! It was in a room they called the “Presidential Ballroom” on the Penthouse level. There were windows covering the entire wall of half the room, and the other half had huge mirrors, which made for fantastic lighting! 🙂
We had a great time shooting their special days and are extremely excited to give them their pictures. They also requested a second shooter when we first talked, who happened to be my good friend Jacob Pierce! With that said, just know that the pictures I chose to put on the blog, took forever to choose! I’m almost 100% that this will be the biggest blog post [most pictures] I’ve shared from a wedding. So get ready!!
Thanks again Holly & Steve for choosing us to capture your day!
#Mirrorselfie Yea..we went there.
So I had to add the video montage that Jon did for this awesome wedding!! Check it out! 🙂
