What’s In My Bag

[still under construction]

I get asked this question often, “What type of camera and lenses do you use??”

I would love to answer that for you all! I know I really enjoy finding out what other photographers use. At the end of this post, I’d love to know what your favorite lens is that you use!

I have been very fortunate and blessed to have upgraded my gear a few times during my career. Two quick notes before we get started: I’m a Canon lover! And I don’t believe a new photographer should go into debt for their gear.

I love Canon simply cause it’s awesome and has never steered me wrong! (but I will admit I’ve never actually used a Nikon or any other brand) 🙂 My first camera was a basic Dslr Canon Rebel. It got me through the first couple years of my business, good ole trusty Rebel!

Jo Totes – The Gracie Butterscotch!

I love it. It’s a smaller bag that goes with any outfit I wear to a shoot or weddings, has a comfortable shoulder strap and plenty of pockets and zippers for storing memory cards, an extra battery, snacks, business cards etc. It fits a camera body with a lens attached, plus two extra lenses. I sometimes fit a third one in as well if it’s a small session and I wont be moving around as much!

Canon 5D Mark III – I can’t say enough great things about this camera! It was a business changer, the quality is beautiful, the ISO capabilities is great for low light situations and it’s a full frame camera which I love! It’s my baby, besides Liam of course.

Canon 7D – My husband, Jon, my second shooter, uses this one. Before this, he was using the Rebel as he learned how to shoot.
