As Eva encouraged her to put a dot of paint on her mommy’s nose, Botanical Gardens became filled with Braxton’s laughter!
In 2009, [If I remember correctly] Kurt and Eva [Braxton’s parents] hired me to work at their Title Company. Not gonna lie, they were pretty amazing bosses. If I was off track and unfocused, Eva would wad up a paper ball and chuck it at my head. I’d say we had a pretty strong work bond. 🙂 I worked for them almost 2 years and then started pursing my love for photography.
Once I started my business, Eva was one of my first clients! She asked me to do 1 year old pictures for her youngest little girl, Braxton. When we got to the shoot, she had a props galore which gave me plenty of options and inspiration for the pictures! We dressed Braxton in pearls, a boa, a little fairy outfit with wings, and plenty more. Soon after that shoot, she asked me to take Christmas pictures of her kids [which involved a sled…on the beach! SO CUTE!].
This week, I got the privilege of taking little Braxton’s pictures, again! Except now.. she’s all grown up. She’s 3 years old and looks like a model…seriously. Eva asked me to think of something fun & creative to incorporate into the shoot. First thought is, “Let’s get messy with paint!” She loved the idea, so we went with it! I also brought some glitter, flower petals, and a chest that, might I add, is pretty heavy to lug around. Eva insisted on carrying it everywhere we went… she must work out. 🙂
First we took some pictures of Braxton posing in her cute little outfit. Later Eva put her in an adorable white dress and set up the paint for her to get everywhere. Surprisingly, it took some persuasion to help Braxton understand that she was allowed to paint her nose, legs, cheeks and arms. Persuasion meaning, Eva letting her put paint on her face! Her reaction to her mommy having paint on her face was priceless! I’m so thankful I was able to catch these sweet moments on camera. I know you’re probably itching to see some photos so here you go!
She loved these flowers!
Her reaction is priceless!! 😀 Good job Eva!
Braxton enjoyed painting my legs as well. 🙂
Here is a picture from her 1 year old shoot, and now her 3 year old shoot. She’s grown into such a beautiful little girl!
I hope you loved this session as much as I did! If you would like to book a session with me, please go to my contact page and shoot me an e-mail! 🙂 Thanks a bunch!
