Shooting at the exact spot Tyler proposed to Alexis made their session so much more special and intimate.
I knew Tyler through friends of mine and we went to the same high school 8 years ago! I hadn’t met Alexis before but as soon as she reached out to me about engagement and wedding photos having been referred from two of my recent brides, I knew we would be a great fit! As soon as I met her, I could tell what a joyful person she is. Alexis (or Lexi as her friends call her!) laughed through out the whole session and made me feel like I am so much more funny that I really am! 🙂 She and Tyler were great sports the entire time as I taught them the “nuzzle” and “prom pose”! haha.
When I drove up to their house (they literally live 45 seconds from the beach!) and saw how cute it was, I had to ask if we could shoot some in-front of their house. Come to find out it really means a lot to them since they’ve lived there for most of their relationship, so it worked out perfectly. Rosie, their pup, also got in a couple shots and did an AMAZING job in front of the camera! She was a pro, and SO cute!
For the second location we walked to the beach that is basically their backyard. It was the beach that they took walks on all the time and the beach that Tyler got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Madeira beach made for a stunning background for their session and so did their adorable yellow beach house! I feel very blessed to have been able to photograph their engagement session and can’t wait for their wedding next December!
